SHARK BITES – Coupon Policy Tips
Let’s face it! There are a variety of stores across the world. And, I think it’s safe to say, that there is never a moment in time that someone isn’t shopping. It’s plain and simple. Consumers like us, keep these businesses up and running. There are numerous ways we can shop. (ie: in store, online, over the phone, mail order, etc.) When we shop—we run the chance that there may be some type of store policy change. I bet that you may have encountered a time or two, changed policies that you find out about, while checking out.
Avoiding Problems: The Policy on Policies
To avoid headaches at the register…PRINT your store policy, so you can stay abreast of what the store offers. This will ensure that you won’t blind-sided with changes of rules and regulations. I would also suggest that you keep an alphabetized record of your stores in a folder. In addition, using page dividers with tabs, to type or print the store names, would be beneficial. The key is to keep everything in order, to make for a good shopping experience. In addition, date each store policy print out. In doing so, you will help keep track of what the store policy offers. Stores usually date their policies. This will help you stay on track with them. If their dates ever change, that will be your signal to update your folder, and print out a new one. Again, dating any printout will keep you on point!
Policies have an array of rules. So, if you are unsure, it’s best to read the policy, or ask a store manager or other employee for assistance. Some stores price match. Some stores don’t do that at all. Some stores double coupons. Some stores double coupons on a specific day of the week. These are just a couple of examples that would be important for you to know, as you embark on your shopping trip(s).
Remember to always take a “bite” out of your wallet when couponing, and leave the store as a ‘Coupon Sharky” winner!
P.S. Feel free to leave a comment about any store policy that you are aware that is or has changed.
