Who runs FreebieShark?
Hi, I’m Jason. I’ve been finding freebies, deals, and sweepstakes for readers every single day since August 2009. That’s not a figure of speech: FreebieShark has published new posts daily, weekends and holidays included, for over 16 years.
The site started when I was a student at the University of Michigan, hunting down free samples between classes and posting them for anyone who wanted to save a little money. I graduated. The site never did. What began as a college side project became one of the longest-running freebie blogs on the internet, and I still personally find, check, and write up every offer you see here.

How FreebieShark works
Every offer on this site is checked by me before it goes live. I verify that freebies are legitimate, that sweepstakes have real official rules, and that deals are actually deals. No spam offers, no “free with 47 surveys” traps, no strings attached. If it’s on FreebieShark, it’s because I’d feel comfortable requesting it myself.
Posts go up throughout the day, every day. Freebies and samples can disappear fast (companies often pull them once supplies run out), so the sooner you see a post, the better your chances.
How the site stays free
FreebieShark is free to read and always will be. The site is supported by advertising and affiliate links, which means if you buy something through certain links (like Amazon deals), I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That never affects what gets posted; freebies are always 100% free.
Never miss a freebie
The best way to keep up is to follow FreebieShark on Facebook or subscribe to the newsletter. New to freebies? Start with my guide on how to get freebies.
Found a great freebie I haven’t posted yet? I’d love to hear about it. You can contact me here or leave a comment on any post. After 16+ years, some of the best finds on this site have come from readers.
Thanks for stopping by. It means a lot to me!
